Announcement - Making a new visual novel!

#1 Post by jamiemorris12 » Tue Feb 19, 2013 2:49 pm

Me and a couple of my mates have decided to make a visual novel ( title hasn't been specified just yet).

The development time we're to hoping to finish the game is probably 5months+ at least.
In addition, I will be posting up a new topic on the 'Recruitment' section if some you guys are interested and want to learn more.

PM me if you're interested and I'll give some details about the story.

It doesn't exactly help that you gave zero details for genre, title, story, positions that are open to help, or anything. How is this meant to gain interest? It seems like you're posting without a plan, even if you do have one. This should be in the Ideas section, since you don't have anything to show yet.
If you want interest in your game, don't hold back so much information that we don't know what's going on even after looking into the thread.

I agree with 9-of-Hearts; the idea is missing too many things to be call a WIP. It would be better if you can tell us more about your idea.

Not really. You've written two topics that tell us exactly nothing.
First impressions matter, especially if you are expecting a small team of artists to help you.
"We must teach them through the tools with which they are comfortable."
The #renpy IRC channel is a great place to chat with other devs. Due to the nature of IRC and timezone differences, people probably won't reply right away.

If you'd like to view or use any code from my VN PM me. All code is freely available without restriction, but also without warranty or (much) support.
