Yeah, I've thought about professionals too. The quality would probably be really good and everything - I loved the musics in O3 and Gakuen Redux! But... The thing is, professionals, usually, have to be payed. And well, I'm still a mere pupil who doesn't have any other sources for money except monthly pocket money, which well, ain't probably quite much when thinking about hiring a musician. ^^; I don't have any idea how much it costs, though. I can't even know how many pieces I'll need yet. This far, the game has got many different atmospheres that need to be covered, though... But I doubt that I'd need more than 10 tracks of music (not counting voices) in total. But I really can't say it very accurately yet.

And about the background artist... The project will certainly be needing a lot of backgrounds, I'm afraid, since it has a lot of scenes. Hiring a professional would be a great help in this case, too, but then again there is money and the fact that I don't know quite much about hiring people and stuff, since I've never had any experiences with those things. And I think that with a couple or a few of amateurs co-operating, the result could be good. It's just that not that many people like doing backgrounds, so it might take some time to find those people, and a lot of time and work to finish the backgrounds.

About professionals, by the way, does anyone know how much hiring them costs? I don't need very exact numbers, but something that could be about a reasonable or a normal price per a track or a background, because I have no idea... ^^;

Well, I guess if I had to take a guess at the cost of hiring a professional composer in Australia, it would be around $40-50 AUS an hour (although the more you ask them to do, the cheaper the hourly rate would be). I think it would take at least 1 hour per track, depending on how long you want them to be.

If you do want to hire someone, I'd suggest advertising at a university's music department, as you might be able to find someone who'd be capable of doing a professional/near professional quality job for less than half the price. Either way though, it would be a fairly expensive proposition - and the results you get might not be exactly what you're looking for atmosphere-wise.

Uh huh... The progress has been slow due to this and that, personal urgent things and such... And from now on, I'll be gone for a couple of weeks, so I doubt there will be that much progress in that time. T_T But when I'll come back, I'll probably be writing even more. ^^

So yes, a status report once again. I've been slow, as always.

Tera answer arc ~ 0%

...But I'm trying my best and I'll be trying all the time! ^^ I've also been practicing drawing more so that I'd be ready when the time to make the graphics will come some year. :D

Thank you a lot, Mint-san~ TwT

So, I've been away from my computer for a couple of weeks, so there has not been so much progress with the writing... I'm aiming to complete the linear part this month, though I think it will need a lot of editing afterwards... But when I'll achieve the point where the different arcs will part, I think writing will come a bit more easy plus I'll be able to finally get into the real stories, so I'm looking forward to it and trying my best. The progress might not be quick, it might be the exact opposite, but there still is progress, and I haven't lost my inspiration with this project either. Actually, during the times when I wasn't able to write, I did a lot of scribbling and planning. My drawings are getting more like they should be in the graphics, yay~! Unfortunetly, no samples though. ^^;

がんばります!^^

Progress! Read: I was having a writer's block for the whole week and then I started writing like crazy last night!

At this rate, I think I will be able to reach my goal of completing the linear part this month, maybe even this week, even this day is a possibility. Ah I feel so great~! >3< And when it's complete, I think I'll have what is written this far checked. First by a couple of my nearby friends probably, and then by possible volunteers for gameplay testing and spellchecking... So, the volunteering starts here and now, I guess~. If anyone is interested, please post a message with the info in this thread.

The first one to recruit, yay! \o/ Here, have a cookie! -hands-a-cookie-

And on other news, I set up a blog site, where you can hopefully from now on follow the progress in more detail. I'll still be posting the progress things here, of course, but there might be some info that will be blog-exclusive. :3

...Then, she suddenly felt like doing new, better chara sample pics for TeraMura...

I'll do proofreading for grammar and spelling, if you want. You probably want to send it to me last, once you're done with proofreaders for the larger-scale things, though.
I released 3 VNs, many moons ago: Elven Relations (IntRenAiMo 2007), When I Rule The World (NaNoRenO 2005), and Cloud Fairy (the Cute Light & Fluffy Project, 2009).
More recently I designed the board game Steam Works (published in 2015), available from a local gaming store near you!

I'd gladly test another of your projects. Nattsu was fun, and I'm eagerly anticipating this one too. If you've still got room, sign me up.
