space bar doesn't work in Editra

I installed renpy-6.15.7-sdk and choosed Editra ast script editor as Jedit couldn' write some french accents (ê or ï, for example). As my game Jvis-a-Paris intends to learn french to foreign people, it was nice to get an editor which could write all accents.
I'm on Ubuntu 12.04.
I had to install wxPython. It seems there is not a version for Precise Pangolin (Ubuntu 12.04) but Editra opened correctly.
Today, I tried to make a correction in my script. The space bar either don't work either paste a word !
I tried three times without success.

Hi doudoulolita,
maybe space's not working right because it's bound to a function,
go to Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Keybindings
probably code completion, change it to something else (default is Ctrl+Space).
