Enter the forrest of Barania, and play as Karotte, a young elven girl. Karotte has a huge gap in memories from last year's Summer Solstice period. The next Solstice is right around the corner and Karotte keeps having disturbing nightmares and daydreams. She is sick of them! What do they mean? Karotte has the feeling that something really bad happened, but she just can't remember!

Go on a journey to collect all you memory keys, before someone else does! Help people, solve mysteries, play mini-games, fight monsters and gather spirit power to find and collect all of Karotte's Memory Keys and help the friends you make keep your home out of the clutches of evil!

So far this is a solo project, so it won't be going very fast, but I have planned to have at least a demo out by mid December. The art and design-side of this thing is the only side I'm really experienced in. I do have some 100+ hours of struggling with Ren'Py and I've written chapters and shorts since I was 10, but never made them into anything. I've done research on writing, so I'm hoping it will work itself out. I'm kind of nervous about this whole project, but I'd love feedback on the stuff I post here!

D8 This. Looks. Amazing!! I really like Karotte's style and the art direction in general ^^ Animated BGs are pure yes. The only thing I'd really say for now (as you've stated not much in the way of writing has been made) is that the text is very light and hard to read on a white textbox. Otherwise, everything looks good!

Animated backgrounds? Don't see that too often.
Are you planning to have animated sprites too? As in blinking and mouth movement.

Ad my voice to those who thinks this looks really cool. I don't see animated backgrounds like that very often. The visuals and the premise give me something of a neat fairy tail vibe, which I like. Definitely looking forward to seeing more from this.

Also, I agree that the textbox text is hard to read in the top right hand screenshot. I'm not sure if increasing the opacity for the textbox is the solution? You should test out some combinations and see.
