Hello everyone,

I just completed my very first try at creating a GUI... I hope it can be of use for anyone, if only to learn the coding. That was one of my main goals in doing this as well, so I give you the game folder of the game I tested it in. You can toy around with it and extract the images in case you want to use it in your games.

First, two screenshots, so you see what you get: Note that the screens are built of buttons and not imagemaps except for the main menu, so you can change a lot without much effort.

Contains:
Main Menu (as an imagemap)
Button pictures (all states)
Bar and thumb
Frame picture
Picture for locked cgs in gallery
Textbox (no namebox)

The gallery code is basically from leon (this thread) - many thanks for this! I only included the cg gallery though.

I used a texture from here: http://elemisfreebies.com/10/01/grunge- ... -6-colors/ (only for the backgrounds and the textbox)

If you have any questions or want me to change something for you, just ask. Changing things may take a bit, since I don't have much free time, but it never hurts to try

I'd also appreciate your feedback, I want to learn how to make this stuff look better and will try to make another one soon.

I havent gotten far with it yet but i'll make sure that you get to see what it looks like when im finished.

I have finaly finished editing the gui wow!
Im sorry that i can only show you the end result of the text box since the other screens kinda hold spoilers for my game and im not ready to show it.

Sorry for not replying in such a long time Kagehide, real life kinda distracted me...

I really like your changes, the greenish look is nice and goes very well with those flowers!
(Also, your game looks interesting, I just played your demo because I was curious to see what you did with the rest )
