Demos that won't work on my computer

#1 Post by kara24601 » Sat Jul 21, 2007 3:16 am

Midsummer Haze

Summer, Cicadas, and The Girl

I think I've tried following directions / tips they have but it didn't work.

So..is there an easier way to get these to work on my computer?

Maybe those are the kind of games that have to make you set Japanese as non-Unicode language before you install them?(and also while you play them). But I guess you've already done that...T_T;;It's too bad because those are good games...I'm not a computer savvy type so I can only advice you to use Macumba?

Do you get that thing where there's a blue window with some text and gibberish and an error box when you run it?

I got that too at first... You have to go into your regional settings under control panel (if you're using Windows) and set Japanese to the default language for non-Unicode characters

So yeah, basically what Ren said ^_^
Although if you're using Mac, I have no clue...

My idea exactly.... Applocale helps a lot on that matter... (most jap games I installed and played them with Applocale). Just check the last option on the radial button for the Japanese setting.

If you don't know where to get it check on the Microsoft page... the ask for a XP veracity checkup to download but that's about it :)
