I need help on drawing programs and whatnot

I need help on drawing programs and whatnot

Right, so after much begging, I finally got a tablet for drawing.
So, I was wondering, aside from the regular drawing programs that cost money, are there any other nice free alternatives?
(Yes, I've tried GIMP, but it keeps crashing)

I've heard of Paint.NET, which is a free program with layers.

Don't know if it'll work with brush sensitivity but you could check out Pixlr Editor! http://pixlr.com/editor/
