Thanks for making this trailer, some1.

Who is some1?
O3 is 10th, Embraced by Green is 11th, White Nights is 12th, so this will be 13th?
(Takes notes to self: megashare is awfully slow in your area)

At least for me it's a first in this genre. Also in the style of working on it, I estimated a bit longer - but the team was really great, so here we are.Ignosco wrote: looks like it will be quite different from any of your previous VN's.
Ah yes, this is indeed the game I mentioned in that PM to you some time ago. Glad you remembered!monele wrote:Aah, there it is ^.^. So... soon, eh?
some1 is the artist for the project. I'm sure he/she will reveal him/herself shortly.DaFool wrote:Who is some1?
I don't really know what to count - I would say like Ignosco, that it's the 12th, since White Nights wasn't original, but in the end, it's just numbers.DaFool wrote:so this will be 13th?
Re: Time's Tear - Visual Novel Trailer
some1's style is very familiar
How long was this in development (i.e. when did you start?) I know you're very good at keeping projects under wraps, but ... dang

Re: Time's Tear - Visual Novel Trailer
I should think so.DaFool wrote:some1's style is very familiar
We started in March (concept), the real work began in April (writing). Graphics started in May, in parallel with writing - a lot has changed, the one influencing the other. June & July = graphics & text. July was also the OST. August the engine (our simple menu). So about 6 months. The game has around 22.000 words, so it will last around an hour. Size, well... packed 120 MB.DaFool wrote:How long was this in development (i.e. when did you start?)

You could have a trademark similar to *poof* (goes back to work)
But in any case, the loli style refined and perfected... I can only think of one person responsible for that.

Re: Time's Tear - Visual Novel Trailer
I have to say, I played this game yesterday and really enjoyed it. I don't want to spoil it too much, but I actually found it clever, and after a while the characters drew me in to the point where I genuinely wanted to see what would happen to them.

I can only think of one guy... particularly someone from Iloilo City... or I could be wrong.
One question (if my guess is correct) did you also composed the BG music (Since I'll be out of commision for a while, I'll use this time and fiddle with Anvil Studio (*SIGH* if only there is a more friendly tutorial on how to use this programs... and some sound fonts will be nice)...
"POOF" (Dissapears... for now)

Re: Time's Tear - Visual Novel Trailer
Nope: renesis did all the music including the one I used here. I'm not good enough to get that kind of depth in my midi compositions.
Re: Time's Tear - Visual Novel Trailer
I think to get that kind of depth you would need really professional programs / tools. Although picking good soundfonts is a start.
And a converted midi will never feel as emotional as a recorded live performance.
