When unsure, use references! (:

To be more helpful though, the shoulders look a little off, the shoulder area should have the same width as the rest of the torso. Right now, it looks like it's squished, it's more apparent on her left shoulders.

The stomach area is also a bit long and stiff while the breast area is a bit small. Try doing the 'head' test, just paste the head over the breast and the head should roughly fit in it. Her forearms are also a bit long, I think this is caused by the long stomach.

Also try to emphasize the curves of the body to make her pose more dynamic.

To sum up, study anatomy more (: I can try to redline it though so I make more sense, if you're okay with it.

Yup better, but the shoulders are still squashed. Here's my redline, well I got carried away ^^; but I hope it's useful

Thanks dude ^.^
Help is always welcome :)

On a side note: does anyone have a link to a bg tut for inside?
I tried one and.... it's.... okay I guess?

And I tried a rather boring CG XD
But new type of colouring~

I don't really have a BG tutorial, so all I can really say is look at other people's backgrounds and observe your surroundings?
Something really important I learned just recently about VN-specific BGs is that you should keep the closest object in your background be slightly behind where your sprites would stand. Don't treat them as stand-alone pictures, hah...

Pretty nice, though! I really like painterly-like colouring styles, haha.

CG:
- Eyebrows? :O
- I think you can tone down the curve in the neck! Necks do curve, but not too much.
=> Always try to draw outside of the final canvas size of the CG! Usually, when people draw too close to the edge, they start warping things.

BG:
- You can definitely push more depth into this by having the farthest wall be more dark. Adding some slight indicators of texture (light scratches, some rust, etc?) would be cool!

I would also suggest doing some strokes on a layer higher than the line-art! It's a lazy way of fixing things, as well as adding some more interest into your drawing.

Thanks for the advice :) My bg's really need work XD

I have lots of advice I can give about the cgs. well let's begin

Drawing side:
-The hair in the back of the character's head seem to be more detailed while the bangs seem to be drawn in a more simpler way, try to make the details in the whole hair equal
-It will be more pleasing if the nose, mouth and eyes have more details to them.....and sure don't forget eyebrows its an important part to show the character's emotions :>
-the forehead is slightly huge, make it half that size will work well
-Give the hair pointy edges
-Eyes while closed should have the same size of eyelashes likes in the main ones
-Never croup an image in joints

Coloring:
-I changed the color of the skin to a red-ish color (because some skins colors suppose to have a kind of a peach-ish color) and I also give it grey-ish color, too (because of the sky(?) color reflection)
-Give the white space (of the eyes' one) some shadows. And I think the eyes will look better if that light lines wasn't there in my opinion
-Make your shadows more darker..

Oh! check out this artist eyes coloring tut, they make some attractive looking eyes http://fav.me/d2n2khh

Well, that's all I have now :>

A little thing to add, the lineart seems a little stiff. Before you start actual lineart you can do a quick warm up of random whoosy lines to loosen up your hand. Just keep your hand relaxed and remember to say 'whoosh'.

I can see you're consistent and working towards improving, but a lot of what I see is half finished. I think one thing you can work on is be brave and post complete works more often. It won't be a perfect piece, but when completed we can help you out on everything from parts of anatomy to coloring (how can we help you with facial features if so many of your works aren't even at that stage?). I feel working very very baby steps and constantly asking for help will lead to slower improvement and the reliance of others to tell you what is right and wrong. When you do more complete works, people point out much broader mistakes, and those are often the ones you need to focus on most. Don't stop in the middle of a piece, get to the finish line!

Aye aye captin. I don't have internet for a few weeks via a laptop so I'll try and finish the things I've worked on.

Welp, I've decided to become a art student rather than a healthcare student, so I should (hopefully) improve more from now, but for now, I'm improving my painting skills.
