"17 years ago, humans evacuated Earth to BASE 1; a man-made planet originally intended as a space lab, now preserving the rest of human life. For five torturous years down on Earth, brave soldiers fought to the death to retake our home from our invaders; The Spiders. After the five years, Earth was reclaimed, but too damaged to live on anymore. Currently, anyone below are working on Earth's restoration. And so, everyone else remained to live on BASE 1. However, less than a year ago, The Spiders found us again on BASE 1....."
To prevent The Spiders from reaching Earth again, the Kowashite Project was launched. Those deemed to be suitable pilots have been summoned to The Hold to make connection with their Link. The mechs are crude at best, but get the job done. However, one pilot, Miona Stanza, feels a presence with her when she's in battle with her Kowashite - her Link is able to communicate with her telepathically.

Despite how ambitious this might sound, it's actually quite the scale down from what usually ends up happening during NaNoRenO time (that is, TOO MANY CHARACTERS). This time I am keeping the cast down, I have the story planned out to its end, and....I'm really doing it, I AM making my own art! This story was actually an idea for a manga, but I decided to use it as my NaNoRenO project (doesn't mean I won't make a manga adaption later, though). Also...it's going to be Kinetic (if choices for some odd reason get thrown in, it'll be Linear, but I'll probably keep it Kinetic for time's sake). I've always wanted to make a mecha story, just for fun. I haven't seen too many mech anime as I wish I have, so if this sounds similar to another story that is not intentional, but it is NaNoRenO and something to challenge myself with (besides, you have no idea my plans since the plot is just the surface, hehehe). My invaders of choice may seem a little cheesy (giant alien spiders, I know....) and the mech designs crude (on purpose, too, not just because me drawing mechs will look childish...realistically, if you decide to defend humanity with mechs, I'd imagine they'd start out crude instead of the sophisticated Eva Units, Jaegars, Gundams, whatever else exists in the mecha world) but I hope it'll be an enjoyable story overall!
If I am note mistaken, "Kowashite" is Japanese for "destroy" or "to break" (somewhere along those lines) if I'm wrong, feel free to correct since I still have time to change the title XD
