Project Overview-
A Digital Ghost Story
A mostly kinetic short story about experiencing someone else's past
---
"In the early 21st century, humanity developed a means to convert memories into a digital format. But with this advancement came a startling phenomenon...
When memories extracted from a recently deceased human were inputted into an AI's code, the AI began acting well outside the designs of its code, even blatantly ignoring them in many instances.
These 'AI' took on personality of their own and even began showing signs of sentience.
To this day the nature of this phenomenon is the subject of much debate. Has humanity accomplished the digitalization of the human consciousness? Is it a continuation of life for the deceased or is it an entirely new life? Can it even be considered human? Can it even be considered alive?
One thing is for certain, though: something exists within those digitized memories. And that something has come to be wildly referred to by the name of 'ghost.'"

Plot: You play as a Ghost Whisperer, a person who is tasked with going into Ghost Cores and experiencing the memories contained inside, with the goal of awakening the dormant ghost also contained inside.---
Setting-
An undisclosed period of the the 21st century. The general idea is to have a near-future setting, but realism isn't going to be a major focus. Think the "Ghost in the Shell," setting, but with some additional creative freedom.
---
Planned Assets-
Note: I have not created any definitive "visuals" for what I want. While I do have a general idea, I am leaving you with a lot of creative freedom.
BG's:
Note: All these bg's, except for the ghost core bg, will be taken from memories; as a result, the idea is to have them more detail on important features, while the details of less important features would be lost in the "haze" of time.
-A park at night: seeing as how parks usually go for a less technological feel (and rarely keep up with the times) I was thinking it would have a more current day feel, which has then aged for several years
-A dining establishment: A small place that isn't super fancy, but also isn't fast food; it will serve as the bg for the dates
-A place to hang out in private: This could be the living room of someone's house, but if you have a different idea, I would love to hear it
-The "bg" of the ghost core: This would be a simple pattern; think like a "default" or "backup" background for an electronic device
-A color variation of the ghost core: This would be used for when the person who is talking to the player changes (I am also entertaining the idea of a different pattern, but it's not a major deal for me)
((An alternative idea for the ghost core would to have a picturesque location))
