FORMAT

Visual Novel. I'm hoping to have either a dating element or a point & click element, where you can find more and more of the teas in BG scenes (Phoenix Wright-style) to add to Effie's powers/inventory.

PREMISE

Effie was just like every other high-school girl until a weird looking tea-shop pops up on her route home. On a dare to go inside, she hesitantly drinks a cup of tea from the young owner of the store and then, everything changes. The shop disappears, the owner keeps popping up and there's a whole new set of responsibilities to undertake. Infused with new magical tea powers, Effie must defend her town from distraught and misguided spirits, working with her friends and the strange tea-shop owner. Tea, often associated with spiritual harmony and calm, is the weapon she will use in her new magical form to defeat them, soothing them back to their normal state. DARJEELING! EARL GREY! OCHA!

I totally agree with Steamgirl! I'm a sucker for magical girl stories and interesting storytelling. I love tea. And this game combines all of those things.

If this doesn't happen I will be very sad.

Thank you so much for the kind words, guys! I'm really glad you like the premise and hope you'll stay for the ride. Magical girls were some of my best role models when I was a kid (Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, Magic Knights Rayearth etc.) so I wanted to do something along those lines. (:

I love the idea (always adored mahou shoujo), even more so because I drink tea so often.

It'd be interesting to somehow include herbal teas into the concept, as many do not regard them as "true teas". They'd be like... fakes, posers... villains?

Anyway, I am really looking forward to this! The art so far is looking great.
