@khnachi & muniiam Thank you

I'm happy you like.
@Arachni Aww, thanks! I do really like how the orange and blue have gone together.
I only managed to mock up a text box last night due to frantic cookie baking. It will be a day or two before I get to it, so I would love to hear any opinions if people have them. I might not be able to put them into practice because of deadlines but I'm still very interested

I'm kind of half and half on it.

I think it's come out very nicely, actually. It fits perfectly in with the rest of the game design so far, so it doesn't stick out, which is always a good thing, and I think it actually lends to the game.
I do the buttons on the edge stick out like skip is right now because you're rolling over it? That's probably a good idea XD I like the way the icons look on their own, but it could get a bit confusing.
Pretty much I like it XD, but I'm just one person.

I'm by no means an expert on this sort of thing, but I think the buttons could be made a different color. They should harmonize with the general color scheme, but they ought to be noticeable. I fear the orange might cause them to be overlooked---at least in combination with this particular background, I mean.

Thank you for your opinions on the GUI Starling and Mad Harlequin

It is most helpful.
Thank you as well Vintehin
Finally got the little bits and pieces done for the sprites and organised the mess of layers. Just need to resize. I have also gotten through 2 out of 4 backgrounds done in terms of variations. I'm not good at this part -.- Should do some sky backgrounds as well. Hopefully should be able to start the GUI properly tomorrow.

Started working on the GUI tonight. I got these two pieces done but I still have to do:
-Main menu
-Save/Load
-Gallery
-History
-Extras
But I have to go to bed for now because I have had a really long week in which several of us at work have agreed didn’t really happen in regards to a certain project.

GUI is 99% done, just one minor issue to figure out.
Which means I will be starting CGs tomorrow. There isn’t much time left so I guess I’ll have to do what I can there. Actually I'm really nervous about them...

I got the 6 ‘critical’ CG sketches done today. There is one more I would like to do, but it’s a ‘if I have time' one. I will be starting to paint these tomorrow.

Writing updates are perhaps not as interesting or eye-catching as art ones, but the script is about 70% done and I'm anticipating finishing the first draft by Thursday. It should be roughly 20,000 words by the time it's done.
The last four (five??) days of NaNoRenO will be spent coding the UI/other game images, editing the writing (MOMENTOUS... I NEVER HAVE TIME TO EDIT/DO MULTIPLE DRAFTS), and setting up the website/etc. I was actually supposed to have finished the script already but this month has not been as free as I thought it would be. _(:3」∠)_ However, I really like the writing I've done for this game so far and testing my boundaries has been a really good experience for me.
On the coding front, I'm going to try relying about 80% less on imagemaps when I code the UI so that translations and such will be easier to implement. So that might take me a bit longer since I'm not used to it. We'll see how it goes, though!
Auro's also moving along with the CGs at a very rapid pace. She's finished 2/6 now~

Lovely style I like it !

Bon courage !

Aww, I was complimented in French ///>u<\\\ Merci beaucoup!
I have done 3/6 CGs now, and given I have been able to do one per night and I have completed the most complex ones already I can say with 99% certainty that the 6 CGs will be finished for the release ^_^

So many CGs for a NaNo game. Major props to you, Auro-Cyanide. I'm quite excited for the release of this game. Everything about it intrigues me >u<

Thank you Daikiraikimi
@Starling Haha, there were quite a few moments that I really wanted to have scenes for, so I'm glad I've had the time to work on them. Thank you ^_^
All 6 critical CGs are done baring 1 variation and a couple small fixes. Which means, if I don't completely write myself off tonight (I have a hen's night) then I will seriously consider doing the 7th final CG that was my nice-to-have

Dang! Seven CGs. O.O I've got two so far.... But they're only sketches. XD I found during this NaNoRenO that I have no idea how to color backgrounds at all and that I should learn that.
(I've done seven sprites inked and colored, another six sketched, another five designed, plus ten background sketches and mockups, full GUI, and two sketched CGs. I overdid it on the sprites, since that's what I knew how to do... But after listing that I guess I don't feel as bad about my progress. In the future, I'll just have to be more careful to plan my projects appropriately for the time I have, though!)
