Plot
Ted, a 17 year old boy, has just moved away from his parent’s for the first time after gaining entrance to a prodigious college. He’s moved with his best friend of 5 years, who has moved away for unknown reason. His goal, to survive A Levels and go on to become a games designer! With this in mind, he throws himself into the school creative clubs, ranging from art, music, writing and programming. In each of these clubs, he makes new friends, and possibly, new romances.
But all is not what it seems, and walls are built to be broken.

Main Characters

Ted Collins

The protagonist of this story, a hardy 17 year old with a passion for gaming. Since he was a young boy, games have been his escape from reality, ever since his parent’s divorce when he was 7. He’s since gotten over this major change in his life and his parents are on friendly terms. He has a knack of seeing the good in people, even if it’s not entirely obvious at first if they have anything good about them, and as such, doesn’t have as much trouble as most gaming nerds in making friends, routinely becoming well-liked in most places he happens upon. Despite his love for games and gaming, he can’t play that well, and is easily beaten by even the newest of players in almost all games, this also means he’s never managed to complete a game. Dislikes mushrooms, cold showers and whiskey.

Ben Kano

Ted’s best friend is half Japanese and half Scottish, which is a mix to behold. Ben has moved with Ted to the new town, even though he doesn’t plan on continuing his education there and is happy enough just trying to make his merry way in the world. Somewhat laid-back, he’d rather watch the world pass him by and is more than happy observing. Seriousness is not a part of his nature, so he’s prone to pranks and sarcasm, but knows when to stop and when he’s crossed lines. Unlike Ted, he isn't as social, thus, finds it mildly harder to make friends, though if he really tries, he can get on with people to a degree that they will call him a friend. Loves sushi a scary amount and considers it his one true love in life, so spends his time working at a Japanese restaurant in town and pays his rent that way.

Hayley Benenati

Ted’s first encounter with this particular girl started with a crash - literally. This crash has become the whole metaphor behind their relationship, which has had its ups and downs due to her rough attitude and some-what mean sprit. She has a very hard time getting along with others, and doesn’t really try to, feeling that if others can’t appreciate her for herself, they aren't worth bothering with. As she prefers to be alone, she joined the programming club, as programming can involve hour upon hours of sitting alone, just thinking. She enjoys reading as a pass time and funnily enough, baking.

Filipa Garza

This Spanish chica is a hot-ball of energy. Loving all things ‘fun’, Filipa gives of a very mature, warm and gentle nature, resulting in being the person most people go to when in trouble, as she’s a good listener and patience enough to hear about the issues others might be having. However, she isn’t good at opening up herself and often struggles with problems on her own rather than asking for help, which means that they tend to get worse and worse until it all falls apart. As part of the art club, she is naturally a very good drawer, and specialises in digital art, having gained a large following online via various art related websites. Her dream for the future is to one day work in a large gaming company doing what she loves, drawing. Also has a hobby of dancing and singing, and enjoys singing while she works.

Anna MacCormack

A Goth with seriously depressing thoughts, thoughts which she isn’t scared of vocalising. Anna has a dark out-look on life and finds joy in few things, usually dwelling in her own mind on ideas for stories and the like. One of the few things that she does enjoy however, is writing, hoping to become a writer one day, drawing inspiration from real life and history. She has trouble trusting others and prefers to lock them out of her life, either by ignoring attempts to become friends or by just being spiteful towards those that persist as to drive them away. Having a crippling fear of small spaces and the unknown, she can panic when in large groups in confined space, which causes her to lash out so she can get away from said situation as fast as possible.

Aerona Ward

Bubbly and outgoing, rainbows and puppies are practically this cheerful girl’s middle name. As part of the schools popular crowd, she draw people to her with her charismatic attitude and friendly demur and keeps friends easily. In her spare time outside of social gatherings and the like, she composes music using software on the computer and actually only studies music at school, and can play the piano and guitar well enough to make pocket money by busking at the weekend. Funnily enough, despite her numerous friends, hardly anyone knows about her home life and it’s somewhat of an enigma within the school. Has a pet puppy called Charles.

Basic information
This is a dating game that will be commercial. Inspiration taken from Clannad. Will involve stat and relationship building. Sort of set out like RE: Alistair++ in that you can choose what you do each day. Character interaction is a key part of this game.

Forgot to mention that the final few parts will involve a little Nakige, aka, it will get a bit sadder towards the end of the game, but is still firmly based in comedy for the most part.

1. The characters sound pretty awesome well thought out. I'm a little bit worried that Filipa and Anna might come off as stereotypical, going by their descriptions, but there's probably more to them than meets the eye, right?

'to' is a particle, it doesn't make sense by itself, so while it means 'and' in certain circumstances, not here.
'ame' is fine
'taki' means falls, but it's a noun, like a waterfall or rapids. 'ame no taki' means a waterfall of rain. It's not a verb describing the rain falling.

I would call it something like そして雨が降る (soshite ame ga furu)

UPDATE:
- Hayley sprite set (1/5) will be done at some point today so I'll put that up
- Confirmed that the game will take a year
- School calendar set
- Event progression is on it's way
- Lunch and after school actives set (e.g at lunch, you can go to the art club if you want and there are multiple options for actives in the art club)
- Considering trying to include mini games (simple mini games, complex ones would be far to much of a stretch)

Anyway, as for the characters, they seem alright. I'm not a a huge fan of BxG actually, hahaha, because I find that it's a lot easier and more enjoyable for me to relate to a female protagonist. Buuuut, I still do enjoy playing a boy protag every now and then. In this game I am mostly interested in Aerona and Filipa. Hahaha.

I hate mary-sue characters with a passion (to the point where I actually dislike Mikasa out of Attack on Titan O.o) So I decided to play it safe XD
