Well, I have finally come to terms with the fact that I just can't do this whole thing myself. Well, I could, but I would not be happy with the end result... SOOOO...
PenguinSoft games is now recruiting for our first VN.. Actually, it is MY first VN until now, since the rest of the PenguinSoft team are not involved with it... they are all going to be busy working on another game altogether.
I need:
Character, background, and CG scene artist(s)
Musician
Ideally, I would like 2 artists, at least, one for the characters, one for backgrounds, then they would co-op on teh CG scenes...
This is a rather large project, and will require a lot of artwork, and a decent amount of music. I have the plot mapped out completely, have started writing the actual script, and have some proof-of-concept stuff ready to go, but a lot of the graphics and music right now is ripped from another game, so I really don't feel right making any of it public right now.
I also have yet to decide on a name, but I have narrowed it down to a few choices. If any of you are interested, you can either reply here, or better yet, PM me for more details and info.

It's okay to use those as placeholders, provided they're only for development purposes. In fact, having a playable game with placeholders will really help teammates a lot, since they will know exactly how the pacing and art requirements are.but a lot of the graphics and music right now is ripped from another game, so I really don't feel right making any of it public right now.

Oh, if someone wants more info on the game, I can give them a link to what I have so far, I just mean I don't want to make a post with a download link where anybody or their brother could come across it. I would EXPECT people to want to see what I have so far (I admit, playable-wise it isn't much, but I have the plot fully mapped. I just need to flesh it out a bit.)
Basically, the feel I am going for is a Divi-Dead atmosphere, lots of Gothic influence (not modern goth, I mean like Gothic architecture, a real OLD and somewhat creepy feel).
Although there is some relationship development between you and the girls, it is not the main part of the story, more of a by-product. The girl you get closest to does determine what path you follow, but it's not a romance game.
There are 3 major plot branches, and each of THOSE has two branches, and each of those branches has 2 endings, a "good" and a "bad". Although I guess it's more of a "you live" and "You die" difference. These branches are not obvious "which way do you go" choices, but will be based on a hidden scoring system, with points earned based on choices you make up to that point. The endings will be based directly on specific choices, but the path deviations are going to be based on the scoring system.
I'm still unsure of a final word count, but I'm halfway through the first day and I'm at over 1000 words... and have only introduced 1 of the girls, and 1 supporting character.

That is mainly just story setup, and starting the character introductions so far. I'm going to continue working whether i get any takers or not, maybe once i have more "proof of concept" to show, I may get more takers. Even if I have to finish it myself with Daz 3d and PD music, it WILL get done, but I would much rather have a real artist on board. I'm not unhappy with the way my dolls are looking so far, but I'm running into problems with the male characters. For every 200 free female characters or clothing sets out there, I'm lucky to find one for males..... And I'm not happy with the backgrounds I've made, but they can be used if I have to.The game contains 97 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 1114 words.
For an average of 11.5 words per screen.
The game contains 2 menus.
