Greetings, Lemma Soft Forum-denizens!
Aspiring VN writer-programmer here.
[tl;dr starts here]
I joined a few days ago, with the initial idea that I wouldn't really make an introduction until I got my first real project on the road, but then I remembered, I am not who I used to be, now going at it with a new "don't think, just do" policy.
Perhaps with that same mindset I will start my first project sooner than I expect. One thing that worries me is the issue of biting of more than I can chew. I've always been an artist at heart, but I've had some encounters with this metaphor in my time, trust me. I know I must start off small. The only thing is, when I have an idea, it's a good idea, and I can't help but make the absolute best of it. Recently, I'd been thinking of what my first project should be, something small, and eventually divine inspiration struck me. However, on second thought, that idea looks to be quite ambitious still.
But anyways. I have done a linear test project, trying out the programming by using recycled material, and it turned out okay enough for me to have confidence in my abilities. (I used a small part of an old (very very obscure) fanfiction, character art from the original it was based on (some futuristic MMO nobody cares about anymore), stolen backgrounds and stolen music.) I think it's clear I can't really release this stuff, but I'm confident enough in my programming now.
[/tl;dr]
I hope some day I can give you all a meaningful story to enjoy!
