Greetings Ren'Py community. I am just wondering if a Mad Dog Mccree Clone is possible to pull off in the newest version of Ren'Py. After all, as far as I know, Ren'Py is capable of handling FMV sequences. I would greatly appreciate input of this subject. Thanks.

As for an answer, Mad Dog McCree is FMV + Lightgun support. I doubt Ren'Py has Lightgun support in its latest iteration.

Can't a PC Lightgun mimic a mouse? Can't Ren'py be programmed to trap the mouse cursor so it could be able to shoot off screen & reload? Can't the same apply for full screen?

It looks entirely possible. The only thing I'd be worried about is accurate timing / synchronisation with the video. Ren'Py doesn't let you pull out stuff like how long the video has been played for, so all you can do is start the video, record the time and hope that nothing upsets this. The error should never accumulate enough to be a serious problem though, so I'd say it's very plausible.
EDIT: I sort of want to play this now. It looks hilarious and kitsch.
