(2) Tell people what kind of work you have for them. For commissions, also tell them how much work it will probably be. (3) Tell people how much work on your project is already complete. A Simple Act: Recruiting Artist & More [Semi-Closed]

Story:
A young woman has given up, given in. She can't stand the helping hands that try to bind and the nagging words of her mother. She breaks away and tries to spread her wings, only to be grounded by heavy rains. Looking for shelter instead she finds a ghost from a hazy past. A woman dressed in all white holding a little blue, polka dotted umbrella. They stand around, they sit and chat and the rain keeps pouring... yet the young woman, for the life of her, can't seem to piece together the whys, whens and, where.

Who is this strange woman?

Why does she seem so very...familiar?

She must make a choice to open up her heart, open up her past and, accept a little polka dotted umbrella. Her life forever changed by a simple act of kindness. Only the truth shall set you free...
Information:

Hello all!

To kickstart the new year, I'd like to get a few of my older projects out of the way or and revamped. I'll be devoting most of my time on one project at a time, starting with this one. A Simple Act is our first VN (our referring to Alex who originally programmed it). This is a link to the older thread for NaNoRenO 2013. I will be updating it soon and I'll also be making a blog for it. The story description is being tweaked because it's a little melodramtic, despite Eli being in her teens and prone to blowing things out of proportion :D

The GUI & Logo art is already done (thanks to Hijiri & sasquatchii), the script is complete (upwards 30,000 and going through revisions), the music/sfx will largely be a collection of free resources and licensed works, and I'm working on making base line art for the sprites as well as programming the majority of it in. I have about three years of experience working on VNs and, have some completed titles listed here. I've also helped out in other projects and dabbled in games outside of the VN sphere.

That all said, I need help. I'm primarily looking for an artist(s) to partner in the creation of finished sprites, making BGs/CGs, and doing some promo art, etc..

Sprites

I'll be providing the base line art. There will be four (4) sprites in total with three poses each, except the last one. I'd need help cleaning, coloring and shading.

BGs

Right now they're filtered, free resource images. Someone that could paint over them would be useful! If you can create original BG art, we'd need eight-ten (8-10) in total.

CGs

There will be roughly five (5) CGs. I'd need help cleaning, coloring and shading. The line art will likely be looser on these.

Promo Art

I'll be making base line art for the chibis and the promo shots as well. I'd need help cleaning, coloring and shading.

If you have any other skills, feel free to contact me! I'll especially need programming consultation after the release of IOS-porting for Ren'Py (I own a PC), getting things to function right like Android builds & text history, among other things.

Compensation:

I intend to release this VN $3.99 to be sold on itch.io, therefore, I'm am more than willing to compensate for any work via art/writing trades or and monetarily. You'd have to have Pay Pal and, it wouldn't be till after the work is complete. We can negotiate a fee and I'll draft a contract. I'm looking more for partners than anything else, or I'd just commission everything right off the bat ^^ While it might come in segments (I work part-time and am a college student), I have a strong track record with paying the people I commission. I'm a bit slower with trades but will keep in touch through the process.

Thank you for you time! Contact me either here in the comments, through PM, or cherubimscribes [at] gmail.com

Hey there! I could help you if you're not in a terrible hurry, and if you still need help with the art.
I can also do some simple programming, like menus, expressions, simple point-based relationship systems etc, but nothing really fancy. I'm really busy until mid-february but after that I have more time to spare.

I usually only work on paid projects but I've seen you around the forums and I really like your art style and you seem like a nice person, so I don't really care if I'll even get paid enough according to my rates. I'd like to have some kind of compensation for my work but I'm willing to wait until you get a decent amount of profit from selling your game (if you decide you need my help). So yeah, I'm really flexible when it comes to money.

Here's my art blog:

I check lemma soft forums every day so if you need my help, PM's are probably the best way. :)
Edit: fixed broken link
