Latest Pre-release Build
Are there patch notes anywhere? It seems like audio fade on android isn't working yet, but keyboard is, only there's a bug: The keyboard appears and takes over half the screen, so you can't see what you're typing. That's not the problem though, because you can minimise the keyboard. But actually once you minimise the keyboard, you can't open the keyboard again which means you can't press enter and continue.

It's up to you to position text input in a part of the screen where the user can see text input. I'll look at making sure the user can't disable text input while input is present.

Any updates on the new audio fade system?

It should just work, the same as on other platforms. It's the same code at this point.

Re: Latest Pre-release Build
Apologies Tom, audio fade is indeed working now - I no longer have a tablet so asked my friend to test it and he didn't pick up on it, but I've now tested it myself on his device and can confirm it's working. What's really weird though, is that the screen flips whenever the background changes, I'm guessing/hoping that it's solely a Lollipop bug based on this other thread I found: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... =8&t=29751 but am unable to test it on anther device - do you have any ideas what could be causing it?PyTom wrote:It should just work, the same as on other platforms. *EDIT* When I uploaded my apk to Google Play, it didn't pick up on the localizations, is there a way to change this?
I was also wondering if Ren'py includes support for zipped obb files (http://developer.android.com/google/pla ... tml#ZipLib), and if so, how do you use it?

Re: Latest Pre-release Build
Are you sure that was with 6.99? I've tested 6.99 on my Lollipop-based nexus 10, and I don't get screen flips.
What do you mean by localizations? Ren'Py has its own translation systems.
Ren'Py uses its own obb loader, which avoids recompressing so Ren'Py can load resources directly from the obb. In general, resources used by a Ren'Py game should be compressed in their own - png, jpg, ogg, or whatever - format, and won't compress well again.

Wish I'd screen-capped it now - just didn't register that the app contained any translations after uploading the apk, so I'm concerned that it won't show up properly in other stores - I'll try and contact Google about it...
Ah ok, thanks for the info!
*EDIT* Managed to take a screngrab (attached).
*EDIT 2* Also tested on a Nexus 5, Lollipop again, and the screen also flips during transitions.
