Ice Claws [Suspence, Horror, Romance, Survival] [NaNo 2015]

Ice Claws takes place on a small island just as a winter storm hits. The four main characters has planned a weekend hunting trip but an unexpected storm ended their plans. The storm knocks out the bridge leaving them strained with a few of the locals on the island. At first they plan to wait out the storm but something starts hunting them and they need to fight to survive.

You play as Julie, an athletic nature lover who was brought up on a farm with 4 brothers and no sisters. She acts like a tom boy but she does have a romantic side. She gets along well with the others and even dated Paul for a little while.

Sandy is more interested in drinking and hanging out then hunting and is actually happy they are forced to stay inside. He tries to make the best of a bad situation but he's not a very good leader.

Paul was a high school football player and does odd jobs to survive. He's a pretty good handyman but he'd rather do something more important, whatever that is.

Frank is a born hunter and the one who encouraged everyone to take this trip. He seems pretty smart but he's quiet and keeps to himself a lot.

This is my first visual novel so I don't know how many endings there will be. There are three people to romance (with a possible forth) and your main goal will be to escape the island alive. Beyond that we'll see how it goes.

I think this has potential to be a really fantastic VN. My one caution might be that it can be a good idea to scale back on a first VN especially. I think the idea is a really great one though--possibly because I'm Canadian so the extreme danger and isolation of snow storms is something very real to me. I think more horror media needs to take advantage of it, so I'm glad to see this. The art looks interesting to me; it sort of reminds me of traditional chalk drawings, I think.
I really hope you finish your project! Best of wishes!

I love these types of mystery/survival stories and I think the setting could be a lot of fun. Also good to see something set in Canada XD Good luck on getting your game finished!
