A little sneak peek to the voice acting.
*Keep in mind they're not synced yet

The demo is ready to be shipped. We just need to add a few sounds/graphics effects here and there and it will be done!

We have published a bunch of new screenshots:

On one of these picture we can see the little sister for the first time. She will be playing a big role in the game. Language will be an important part of the game, so if you know various languages it my help with the puzzles!
We can also take a look at the first puzzle and how you can interact with them.

The pictures shown are from the demo we’re working on, to be released somewhere between January 15th-20th.

The demo will include 5 endings; in which all are connected to each other’s.

-So far, are you happy with the graphics? Yes/No? Why?

I have no complaints whatsoever about the graphics. They look great.

-If we ever release a Kickstarter, you think you would support it? Why?

Probably not, to be honest. But then, I'm a student who's usually broke, so the odds of me donating to anything on Kickstarter are by default pretty low.

-Do you think somewhere between 10-15 dollars is an honest price? Why?

If I'm factoring in the amount of effort you've put into this game, which obviously is quite a lot, and the amount of gameplay and interactivity you plan to have in the final product, then that seems like a reasonable price range. Honestly, if it cost any less than that for 20+ hours of gameplay complete with puzzles and voice acting, I'd probably feel like I'd robbed you of something.

-The game is a Visual Novel, however we're implementing puzzles zones (just like VLR/999) and a 1v1 battle system (complementary to the story). How does this make you feel?

I haven't played any of the Zero Escape games, sadly. Still, I like puzzle games, so I'm really happy to hear they'll be featured in the gameplay here. The same goes for the 1v1 battle system.

-There is high violence, nudes, murder. Would you still like to play it?

That makes it all the more exciting for me to play it. As much as I like fluff, I strongly prefer games with a darker, more intense subject matter. (Though if you were to include a feature for censoring the nudes, I wouldn't be against it.)

-As we before, we're doing our best to bring full interactive experience. This mean, most of the object will have some form of interactivity. Do you think this will affect the way you play/read Visual Novels?

Interactivity is the reason to play a visual novel! If I didn't want to have an interactive experience, I'd get off the computer and just read a book. I'm all for having as much interactivity as possible. I'd be mildly disappointed with anything less.

Hello everyone!
I'm the main developer of Project Nostalgia. We have been developing this game for almost a year, focusing mostly on the engine part of the game,
which we plan to release after the game is completed. This is a project in which we have put our heart and love every single day since the moment we started it.
If you find the project interesting, please support us. Not monetarily, but spreading the word(Tweet/Facebook, for example).
We have also put a demo/prototype together for all of you to try. Please, any feedback are more than welcome.
If you have any question about the project, please feel free to ask us, PM me, or email me (ask for email).
We really hope you enjoy what we have to offer. We have put a lot of effort on this game and we would like to hear everyone's opinion.
Our whole team thanks you.

There's just 8 hours left!

$12,104 pledged of $15,000 goal

From their latest update!

Project Nostalgia is not dead! We plan on coming back in three/four weeks. However a few things are going to change:

-We will be raising money for the first act only (second act will be available for free to every single backer) and the goal will be less.

-Consoles versions will be stretch goals

-Trailer focused on the story, rather than being a mystery.

-A expanded demo, a few text re-written and a few more puzzles will be available.

-There might be a change in the artstyle (portraits only)

And a few more thing we haven't decided yet.

Additional Support

If for some reason you want to support us while we come back, please check out our Itch.io you can donate any amount you want. (Tiers will be the same as the kickstarter campaign)

I'd also suggest checking out Bloody Chronicles, another KS game with a demo. Check it out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ig ... sual-novel
