Recently, I've had to move on from somewhere and leave many friends who I likely will never see the most of again. There was a goodbye party. Some people were crying. I could tell he was trying not to. He hugged me, and the last thing he said to me before I left was, "C is better than Python. Just - just a little bit."

I felt like laughing and crying at the same time. Still do, kind of.

This has been a moment of cuteness/pointless piece of my life that you didn't ask to know

Yes, this was cute. More so cuz now I have this image of you two always arguing which is better: C or Python. And heavens forbid someone mentions DOS.

Fighting over languages is something the relatively inexperienced do - after a while, you wind up picking the right technology for the job, and often multiple technologies for the same job. Ren'Py is written in Python - but also C, Cython, and Ren'Py itself.

Yeah, sorry about that. I just recognize a young me there - when I could argue about all sorts of things, rather than realizing that most things have their place.
