Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeons (New Game)

Hi, All! Star Maiden Games is developing a new Visual Novel and we're hoping you follow us as we create it!

You are a nineteen-year old girl, in your first year of attending one of the best universities in Japan. Your mother married a wealthy business owner and you plan to study hard and take his business over one day. Life can be tough at times, but it isn’t complicated.

That is, until your mother performs a ritual on you that gives you both immortality and incredible sorceress powers.

After your magical powers are awakened, you learn that not only does your university hold courses for supernatural students, but that several of your classmates aren’t even human. Through your new mystical class, you’re informed about a threat to you that requires you to team up with a partner until you can get your powers under control.

- Five characters to romance.
- Interactive story. You choose what you say!
- Multiple endings. Choose three different ways to end the main story with your guy: Mystical, Romantic, and Dark (names not finalized).
- Carefully crafted soundtrack.
- Episodic Content.
- Available on mobile devices and possibility of Steam (if Greenlit).
- Free Prologue + first chapter!
- Possibility of a MC whose personality develops on your choices in the future.
- Likely more features (like some voice acting) to be added depending on funding.

Star Maiden Games is a new start-up visual novel company that aims to making interesting games that bust genres and the usual tropes. We are team of young women who have a passion for creating and visual novels, we aim to bring high quality, genre breaking content to fans. We have started our own business to use our talents to the fullest. Our core creative team consists of the following:

XChieu "Gessoyouknow" - Art Direction. Our art director has a BFA Degree in Drawing/Illustration and creative experience.
Ajané "Xel" - Editor, Writer, Graphic Art. Years of writing experience with a professional background in games journalism, she has been endorsed for her editing skills by BioWare's Sr Editor.
Egle "Anna": Lead Creative Writer. The one we all go to for ideas, this experienced writer had her short story "Fallen" published in Ink (2012)
We are also being assisted by Rusavia (Background artist) and Kryhs (Social Media Coordinator/Marketing). Our hopes are to get this project off the ground and make many visual novels with our team.

I've posted a few times before, but I just wanted to say another official hello and that we are definitely figuring this all out as we go. This forum has been invaluable to me for information and finding people, so I hope to stick around.

Every character will be getting a make-over, but it will take some time.

This will not impact the game’s development time, as we’ll continue to work on routes while releasing the new character designs as they’re finalized.

Ah, I'm glad you made a topic on LSF since Tumblr has a length-limit and I couldn't write anything short !

I've just finished playing the demo, and I have to say it's really good!
First of all, but you probably read this a lot, the art is lovely! It's really different from what we usually see in visual novels and it gives a very peculiar atmosphere to the game, it looks more serious and maybe more mature. The main character and her mother are really beautiful, it makes me wish there were more female characters I wonder if there'll be CG though, because...the art is so lovely that I want to see even more (Sorry, but seriously, it's really impressive)
The plot is quite interesting, the main character has a wonderful backstory, and I hope that it'll be developed through the game

The fact she's not really a human being for instance is more than just "interesting", I guess it'll be developed in Prof. Kazama's route but still, it's an idea that has a HUGE potential!

To my mind the weakest point of the story would be the encounters with the guys, because they don't have any impact. Honestly, it doesn't help when I had to choose the route, because I didn't have any reason to choose any character, I didn't know them at all, I only got to see very little of their personality, the only thing I knew well was how handsome they are, and this is definitely not a valid argument to me They seemed like one-layered characters compared to the heroine's huge backstory.
Although the sneak peek of each route makes them feel much more interesting and consistent, I feel that it's a bit of a shame...
However, I really liked the fact that there weren't any repetitive part in the demo. usually when comes the times for explanation, it's always the same, but here, each guy explained very differently the situation, which makes it all the more interesting.
Overall I absolutely loved playing this demo, and you can be sure I'll definitely buy it when it comes out, and keep on following your next games!

I hope my sort of "review" didn't sound harsh or anything, it's just that the whole game was such of a high standard that the less-excellent part stood out a little. Honestly it's a really good demo and it looks very promising for the full game!
