NaNoWriMo 2015!

#1 Post by Caveat Lector » Wed Nov 04, 2015 2:33 pm

So who's participating in NaNoWriMo this year? I'm sort of...an unofficial participant. Like, I don't officially sign up for it, but last year I did use the time to get this one story of mine somewhat complete. Now, I'm not quite sure whether to use this year's NaNoWriMo for a new story, or an old one--like, perhaps, editing?

I WOULD sign up and at least TRY, but alas, it tends to fall at around the same time all my papers are due. XP

I try to make some sort of writing commitment every November, even if it's pretty much impossible for me to do the full 50,000 while in school. In previous years I've done some set wordcount a day (something small but consistently doable like 300), but this year I am making a time commitment to working 1 hour a day on writing instead. I am actually writing game script for my demo rather than prose, thus the transition from word count to time.

I want to participate in more free-ish manner, writing 500 words a day instead of 1600. Which is still better than my usual 0

I'm not officially part of it but I am trying to get a lot of writing done. The script for my game was at a bit above 138,000 at the end of October and I'd really like to have it at 200,000 by the end of the month. So I'm writing a little more than 2,000 words per day :].

I am a master of bad life choices, so I'm all in. (Actually, work has done weird things with my hours, so it's a way to fill in space when I can't work on my VNs). Hopefully it works out? I'm kind of making it up as I go, which is terrible and I never advise it, but here I am doing it anyway. Ha.

Decided to take part, despite having some other projects I have to focus on as well, haha. Whoops, I guess.

Going strong so far, though! Crossed the 16,000 mark and progress is being made. Having a lot of fun with it and sort of just letting my ideas go crazy, and will be interesting to see how much of it makes sense once I read back through it in December.

I participate -as "nano-rebel"- to write a scenario for a VN project. (But I currently write in french)
If I succeed, I'll use it to find an artist.
