Audio Issue Please look this project file

#1 Post by ReAnimator »

Hi,
I've created a tiny project which illustrates the issue currently I have.
As you can hear, volume level changes every time you play the game.
Please play several times to confirm.
It's pretty much random so I believe it's a bug.

Seems to be changing even on rollback and not always to the same level. Prolly some minor bug that came with recent volume per channel feature, you should prolly report this to the hub.

It seems to be solved regarding this case but I found another odd issue...
Please take a look. $renpy.music.set_volume obviously doesn't work here.
No matter what value you put, it doesn't sound correct...

Now you're just being silly, it is the first sound that keeps playing :)

No, no! I'm serious about this. I can hear sound_loop channel! Are you sure?

You can't hear sound_loop channel??
It's the same audio file, but I can definitely hear it.

No you can't. You simply hear the first channel that you never stop... Stop using the "same" audio files, that bit once before already.

Ah, you didn't stop the channel, you just had it to play without loop... this is prolly a bug. You actually cannot hear the second channel if you take your time even with your code and don't click through too fast. If you stop it, you never hear the second channel no matter what.

And it got something to do with the voice channel, this behavior doesn't occur on sound channel. I've never used voice channel before, I didn't even know that it was special somehow...

Thanks for confirmation! I was a bit hopeless.

I use voice channel a lot so this interferes other channels.
I haven't tried to stop voice channel before so this can be used as a resolution.
Again, thanks for suggestion!
