FWIW, I've decide to make the standard for access to LHH the lower of 18 years of age, and the age in your local jurisdiction where it's considered legal to look at porn. 18-year-olds will be automatically added, while others will need to PM me to be added manually to the group.

You should have access now. As mentioned in the first post, it can take up to 2 hours for you to gain access.

Could it be possible to HIDE the topic from us under 18? :O So we don't see it there?

I'm a 16 year old girl, I'm okay with hentai (although... I think it kind of mocks us female memebers >.> cause there's not really any hentai for girls cept yaoi) but I really wouldn't like to be able to see it if I can't access it ^^; And then others that join the forum who are under 18 wouldn't know it's there, so they wouldn't try to hack in.

But just for myself, it's an eyesore D: I rather not know that there's perverted guys looking at naughty pics of my fav anime characters in this forum... ;_;' Its really creepy... no offense... Its your choice, but please do it non-publicly...

When you're logged out, there's no way of knowing the age of whoever is browsing this forum. The only visible topic is just this thread right here. It's purpose is to alert those who want hentai to know that there is more stuff on these boards.

Once you log in with an 18+ account, the board shows about 5 more subsections which are specifically 18+. When you log out, it condenses to just this thread once again.

Much as I agree to protect the underaged from this kind of content, it's impossible to shield them completely. It's like a video rental store with a porn section at the back behind the curtains... it shouldn't prevent families who want to drop by just to check out a Disney video.

Some time ago, PyTom mentioned the possibility of splitting the forums into totally two separate entities, which seems to be the only solution to your dilemma. I advised him against it because it would be too much maintenance (like maintaining 2 cars is more work compared to maintaining 1).

So we have the setup today.

There's actually not much interesting stuff in the hentai forum. XD Sorry, but I think you're misinterpreting something here. It's actually not that much different than the other sections of this board. I think the only thing that even comes close to being H about that is just the one art dumpage thread and even that's not really exciting. XD

But obviously, it'd be uhh... kind of stupid to put the instructions to accessing LHH in the LHH. XD I mean, how are you supposed to know how to access it if it's in the place that you're trying to access in the first place???

Oh... Well, actually, most of what happens on LHH is related to game development, so yeah, there's nothing really as exciting as what you thought in there. XD

Okay, what I did was to create a new user group, "Prudes". If you're in that user group, all the mentions of Hentai on the front page go away. You can still get to this thread by going into "General Discussion", but you'd have to be trying to that.

Adding yourself to "Prudes" is a little complicated. You have to go to:

select the radio button to the right of "Prudes", make sure the drop-down says "Join Selected", then click "Submit." It will ask you to confirm, and when you do, the hentai forums will be gone.

(To leave it, do the same thing but choose "Resign Selected" from the drop-down.)
