Roguelike Implement

#1 Post by Daepher »

So, I've been thinking about this game I want to make and... It's an RPG/VN hybrid. For the battle system, I want some cutscene leading to the actual battle scene and instead of a turn-based combat I want a roguelike style. It would be very, very simple. A closed environment (like the rooms in Binding of Isaac) but I'd never be going to another room, if I kill the enemies, the battle would end and a basic VN page would reappear. But I can't get the code done, I don't know how to create an object and make it move when I press the arrows.

Does somebody knows how to do it and can help me? Not even asking for doing my job and writing a code for me, just helping me figure it out how to do this.

Oh thank you for pointing it out. I forgot to say that I've downloaded this build but everytime I launch it, it gives me several errors and I don't think it's working anymore.

It works fine for me. Create a new project, copy/paste the contents of the downloaded material directly into the game folder. Launch from the launcher.
