Looking for Anime Character Designer/Illustrator
Posted: Fri Apr 21, 2017 11:53 am
Hello! I am looking for a character designer for my Visual Novel project: OverClock Gear.
The outline for the story is complete and I have written roughly 1/3 of the script.
Other assets including music, backgrounds, and title design are in the works.
The Plot
OverClock Gear is a story set roughly 30 years in the future in which inter-dimensional Beasts are attacking mankind. A girl who is waiting on her deathbed is given a second chance at life, as well as the potential key to saving or destroying the world.
Naturally, based on that description, you might be wondering why you want to work on such a project. Well, here's a few details about the game that I think make it unique and stand out as a work.
The story will not be a happy-go-lucky adventure that results in victory. The characters will meet darker, more realistic problems that won't be simply solved by the power of friendship and other such cliches. The focus of the story is more so on character development and world-building while integrating the plot points organically.
Does this sound interesting yet? Hopefully it does! But if you're not convinced yet:
Features
OverClock Gear is planned in two parts. Part 1 is aimed for release in 2018-2019
OverClock Gear Part 1 will feature a 70k+ word script! That translates to roughly 7-10 hrs of plot!
OverClock Gear will include screen movement from Renpy's 3D camera plugin that will make scenes feel more dynamic and alive!
What I'm Looking For
Well, as said in the title, I'm looking for a character designer/illustrator who can take my drawings and convert them into better looking drawings and sprite work. (Eventually I would probably also sign you on for CG work as well if possible)
The artist must be comfortable with:
- partial nudity
- blood/wounds/etc.
- Drawing in an eastern style of anime. I am looking for something that looks like a rip from UFOTable, Production IG, or Anime Film look.
Prices are not set, and I would be open to discussion! If you have any questions about the project, please pm me or email me at supersmash233@gmail.com
Thanks for reading my thing, and I look forward to working with you!
