I'll just note that we usually have a rush of games towards the end of the year. (The winter months seem to favor VNs.) So it might make sense to wait for January 1st to do your nominations, since you only get one set of noms.

I'll also note that I'm about 90% sure the name "Lemmy" was my idea. So blame me for that one.

I thought the corny name was my idea... oh well, can't remember for sure so I'll go with it. Everyone blame PyTom!

This is an awesome idea that i give my official Seal of Sw33tness™ stamp of approval to.

But to go along with what PyTom says, perhaps nominations should not be allowed until 1 Jan? And maybe even a week or two after - to allow play time for games released on like 31 Dec. Otherwise the games released between now and the end of the year are at a disadvantage.

Besides, i need time to convince the game makers to send me bribes to influence my nominations.

Oh wow, the Lemmy awards are incredibly cute! I'm tempted to release early just to stand a chance of winning one of them. ^_^

I suppose we can nominate a single game for multiple categories? Just making sure... :)

Yep, one game can be nominated for more than one category.

Woah, the trophies look great! :o I wonder if Raidaa no Asahi will be allowed to compete, since it was released on Feb of 2008.

Mmm... Also, I really should release something new...

Nominations will be postponed until January 5, 2009. Sorry for any inconvenience!
Enerccio : basically, as long as it's released in 2008 and takes less than 5 days to play :3

Yep, anything that's released in 2008 is good. If there's a flood of late-December games, I might extend the nomination period. On the other hand, the late-December games have the advantage of being fresh on people's minds, so maybe it balances out.

Horrifically, it would seem possible
But it depends on the content, etc etc etc...
