The Tavern - dark fantasy RPG/Visual Novel hybrid

Oh boy, it's my first post here. I really hope it's the right place for it...

Hello, fellow gamers!

I'm happy to announce that The Tavern, an RPG-Visual Novel hybrid, is now available on Steam at a price of 4.99 USD! (Actually, right now it's 3.99 since it's a launch discount. ^^)

The game has a lot of text and is focused on plot and immersive dialogues. During the playthrough you make dozens of minor and major choices shaping the story and various details. We tried to make an RPG without grinding, XP-farming, fetch quests, boring walking and generic plots.

In our game you play as mercenary named Nalia - a single mother who tries to earn enough coins to survive the winter.

Your children need you to come back, but how are you going to act seeing the cruelty and rottenness of the outside world? After all, the monsters, dark magic and barbarians from Southern Tribes are nothing in comparison with the human iniquity.

Your story begins when you approach a weird, isolated tavern…
As you can probably see, the game was made using RPG Maker MV. Please notice that even though the game does not contain any sort of erotic/pornographic content, please notice that it is still an R rated title - it contains some strong language, grim and mature topics and the overall feel is quite grim.

Here you can find our free to play demo!

And if you don’t like Steam we are also available on!

Let us know what you think! : )
