Hello, I'd like to ask if you guys ever thought of switching to DLC mode on Steam? As in, selling the routes/episodes as DLCs, and not in-app purchases.
The reason I'm asking is, right now it's impossible to see if any routes are on sale, and at what price when browsing the store page. I can only see that if I install and open up the game.
Plus, in-app purchases don't have regional pricing afaik, as it is currently, even one route can cost as much as a whole other game in my country.
I have no idea why you decided to use the IAP format to sell an otome game on Steam, it's just...not the common way, and very misleading/inconvenient for customers.
I say this with good intentions, because I actually want to buy the game. But I have no money to buy all routes at once, and I don't want to have to re-install and open the game every single time I need to check the price, sales, and buy (old and new) routes or things like that. I don't know why you guys are using the same payment model for mobile on Steam. The reason I play PC games in the first place is to avoid IAPs like this.

Thank you very much for asking.
The game was originally built for mobile and as a result the game engine was programmed to work that way.
If we were to develop for DLC format it will require significant reprogramming work - most likely a new game project programmed for Steam only - which would have higher overhead costs and cause delays in future releases and not financially or realistically viable for a small indie dev of 3 people like us.
At the moment because the programming is similar across all 3 stores (AppStore, PlayStore and Steam) we can release updates within a couple of weeks of each other and any bug fixes would be fixed at the same time across all builds.

But thank you very much for your input and it's definitely an interesting viewpoint we need to consider as it's not our intention to mislead.
Maybe we'll need to update the descriptions and lists how much each story costs for better clarity.
In regards to regional pricing, it would be based on each of the store's calculations.
For example, although we've set the Main Story to $5.99 USD, the stores (Apple, Android and Steam) would adjust and change based on the country and their exchange rates.
