Recruiting Rules: (1) Only recruit if you have an actual, clearly defined project you're recruiting for. Don't recruit if you're an organization that may have a project at some time in the future. (2) Tell people what kind of work you have for them. For commissions, also tell them how much work it will probably be. (3) Tell people how much work on your project is already complete. (4) Always open recruitment threads in the correct subforum - Free, Commercial or Paid Work.

We have the story mostly figured out, and sprite artist ready, but we'd love to pick up an additional collaborator to help us bring the world of Xenopathy to life.
Xenopathy is a romance/murder mystery game about mind-transferring aliens, individuality, and human connection. Also conspiracy? Maybe?
Setting is a mining colony on Trappist-1e in the Trappist system. The mining colony is covered by a dome that helps regulate the temperature and atmosphere to livable conditions, and is heavily company-run. The Trappist planets are tidal-locked - which mean they don't turn around their axis like earth does - there is no day or night, the mining base is trapped in eternal twilight. Besides the company quarters, there's been an up-cropping of smaller shacks to support the beginning service industry that caters to the many miners.

Some of the biggest style influences we're drawing from is; Total Recall, Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049, in addition to a lot of sci-fi tv shows (Stargate Universe, Star Trek Discovery, The Expanse - to mention some newer ones).
Would love to do a noiry style with a limited colour palette that turns to pure black-and-white as the game gets more into the murder mystery.
Since this is a free game we're doing for fun, there's no pay, so this is more an ask for someone who really likes the sound of the project, and would like to practice their bg skills/try to draw something noir/space-inspired.
