Partial Voice Acting Lines

Hello everyone,
I am currently in the middle of making my first visual novel 'Code Name: Pirate Princess'. We plan to have partial voice acting for the game. I am currently writing up the lines that the actors will need to record. Each character has their own catchphrases and lines that they say throughout the visual novel but I would also like some ambiguous lines and things that people say normally that I can use in the game. I would love some suggestions for lines (eg Hmmmm?, Yes, Thank you) just so I don't miss any and regret it later. I couldn't find a topic that discussed this but if there is could someone link it to me. :)

It's a bit hard to suggest without seeing the script. Like you mentioned above, I'd focus on their "catch phrases" or other things that they might say really often. (Like, the knight might regularly say, "mi'lady" or "at your service". The princess might say, "At least I didn't get my shoes wet" or "I'm sorry....wait, why am I apologizing again?")

Punctuating dramatic scenes is also a great way to use limited vocal resources. (i.e. in the key scene where Ivara says something like, "I've been meaning to tell you something. I've admired you for a while and that admiration has grown into something like love..." you just voice act that line, but let the rest of the back and forth be text.)

Some really great examples of partial voice acting appear in older video games (if you haven't tried them), like the Kyrandia games and Planescape Torment. :)

(Also wanted to add that the game looks fun and the artwork is gorgeous! I can't wait to see it finished!)
