Re: Android RenPy?
This is great news:
http://android-developers.blogspot.com/ ... pdate.html
The android market size limit is bumped up to 50Mb. That's enough for a moderately substantial game. Also, the refund window is reduced to 15 minutes from one day - which means we won't have to worry about users beating a VN, and then refunding it.

Re: Android RenPy?
Nice, so maybe finally will be able to have some game ported there (even with Unity was a problem since 25mb was really too small).
For refunds works like iTunes where you can't refund over a certain limit? (otherwise if people can just refund at will, I wonder how anyone makes money on Android!!)

Re: Android RenPy?
15 minutes limit refund should (probably) eliminate that trouble since it's very hard to finish a game in 15 minutes... and it doesn't make much sense to download a game, play it for 15 minutes, and then refund it again.
Though a limit how many you could refund in a month would be good too...

Re: Android RenPy?
Well, but the game is deactivated automatically?
If not, the user can download, refund, and still have the working game on his phone, no?

Ooooohhhhh...

This is how VNs will take off in the west! Mangagamer are you listening?!
Has anyone with an android phone downloaded the GoogleTV remote app yet? Would be great if can already start mapping keybindings that's specific to visual novels. I'm still keeping gamepad support, but decided to drop my dual analog stick idea and try another control mechanism that requires only 1 D-pad in anticipation of better porting to Android for GoogleTV and the more limited controls of a TV remote. It's going to be like Hirameki DVD titles all over again (but with text control speed!).
