wit's end - still blank screen

Hello all,

I still get the blank screen, now when opening my games. I'm really at my wit's end.

What I've tried:
- Updating my graphic drivers
- change renderer
- updating DirectX

I get a "Newer version" error from the DirectX...


What frustrates me the most is; it worked fine before, but something happened and now it doesn't.

Are you having trouble opening games that you've downloaded, playtesting your projects from the launcher, or opening the launcher itself? If it's either of the last two, I'd recommend backing up your projects and reinstalling the launcher. If it's the first one, ask the person who made the game.

Hello, it's the projects from the launcher which is giving me troubles. And I've already re-installed the launcher 3 times.

Is it just one project or all the projects in your launcher? Try deleting persistent data of your project. Click the Delete Persistent button from renpy launcher and see if that fixes it.

Uninstalling the launcher should have fixed your problem but if it still doesn't work try the following:
- Run the launcher as admin
- Compatibility mode to windows 7

If all else fails then do this:
- Uninstall renpy launcher
- Uninstall python from control panel(if you don't have it, skip this step)
- Download and install latest version of python: https://www.python.org
- Download and install fresh copy of launcher from : https://www.renpy.org/latest.html (it might be best to download it again in case your already downloaded installer may be faulty)

Even if after all that it still doesn't work, just say and I'll try to upload my working version of renpy and we can see from there if the problem really is on the launcher itself or your system. Also, we both have the same graphics card: Nvidia Geforce 940m So I can help you if it's a problem with the graphics card in itself.

Thank you so much. I tried what you said and sadly it did not work. I'm pretty sure I've done something wrong when updating my graphics drivers, but I really don't know what... Your help is much appreciated!
