Featuring Eastern European folklore in an unexpected package, Cooking Companions is a “dating sim” psychological horror title set deep in the forests of the Tatras Mountains.
To create a cerebral, haunting, and totally unique horror experience available on Steam. No jump scares, excessive gore, or frustrating dead ends. We're taking it back to the basics:

If you've enjoyed titles like P.T., Until Dawn, and Doki Doki Literature Club, then you'll find something to love in our debut title: Cooking Companions.
Deep in the woods of the Tatras Mountains, you find yourself trapped with a group of four savory adults. As supplies dwindle and flood waters rise, it’s up to you to keep spirits high and make the most of your survival skills. Will you butter someone up first? Or will you wind up on the chopping block?

There are a number of things that make Cooking Companions different than the smorgasbord of VN’s already available.
-Emphasis on audio horror: Bumps in the night, radio signals from beyond and the sound of footsteps creaking over ancient cabin floors will all add to the overwhelming sense of dread
- Cooking Companions is set in a real-world location: the climate, temperature and geography all play into the story
-An appetizer of Eastern European folklore, Cooking Companions is tied to existing content that spans over 250 years
- Short and bittersweet: Playtime is estimated to be around 5 hours, with Multiple endings and hidden recipes.
-NO jump scares
-NO gratuitous violence or gore
-No infuriating puzzles, dead ends or instant Game Over screens
The writing for Cooking Companions is about 80% done. That means any funding we receive will go directly into the tastiest parts of the game: sound design, scares, and artwork. We are currently anticipating an October 2020 release date.
