An unnamed apocalypse has fallen on the earth, bringing monsters that eradicated most of the continents. There's one continent left that harbors humans, which is being fiercely protected by groups of people called MGs (Monster Gambiters, or Magical Girls). Monster hunting is considered a competitive activity as teams of MG's fight to take out as many monsters as they can.
While figuring out the monsters' weaknesses, people have realized that the monsters get paralyzed and are vulnerable to CUTENESS! So most teams of MGs have some sort of cute get up or secret weapon that is decidedly adorable.
Our story follows a team of MGs called "Rainbow Anima". This is a group of 3 girls and 2 boys who all dress up to take down monsters, and they are determined to become the MG team number one. They are already so close to becoming Silver Rank.
Until a very strange monster appears in their little harbor town, one that is completely unprecendented. It will take all their wits and luck to figure this one out.
