Right Swipes
What it is: Right Swipes is a puzzle/visual novel game currently in soft launch for mobile platforms (iOS/Android), inspired by titles such as Hunniepop or Kotodama. Set in a fictional dating-app, the game lets the player match with girls and engage in conversation with dialogue options and picture trade, paced by blast (match 3 variant) puzzle sequences. SOL/romance, all datable characters are adult women (the protagonist is unspecified), the game features fanservice but nothing too lewd.
Who it is: Production is spearheaded by Vivid Games, a Polish mobile games developer and publisher. We have a number of games under our belt, but that is our first foray into this genre. The development team is complete and has been working for months now, but we need to expand the creative team.
Where it is at: The game is currently in its third development phase - it is entirely playable with 6 romanceable characters, around 40k words, 90 levels and 35 CGs. We are working our way towards a larger soft launch phase, with additional gameplay systems and more content (currently aiming for 15 characters by next year).
Who we're looking for: The game currently has 6 girls with their own route, with 3 more in the works. We want to ramp up that number.
We are currently looking for ~3-4 additional writers who can write engaging, overall light-hearted dialogues with some flirting sprinkled on top. Work is on a commission base for one route only so you don't have to commit to too much, although if it ends up working out we can continue with more characters.
We do not necessarily require prior experience, however you will be expected to produce a ~500 words sample if you do not have a portfolio featuring flirty dialogues.
Specs: Each route is 5,000 - 10,000 words long depending on your arc needs.
You will be provided character sheets, a character background and a rough outline of the intended arc - the rest will be pretty open.
Each route has a single ending, with some short branches.
The entirety of the game is written in a dating app, so it's all dialogue via DM exchanges.
Rates: Negotiable, however we would not feel comfortable paying you less than $0.04/word. Payments via Paypal.
