feature request: drag & drop ?

#1 Post by jack_norton »

What you think? I think it could be useful to have a drag&drop function built-in renpy. Right now making it with code is impossible, and it could be useful for many kind of games (unless you still think that renpy should be used only for VN, but I disagree!).
Would be enough to detect the drag/drop from two ui, like two buttons for example. This way could be possible to make an inventory for a RPG with drag&drop of items from one slot (button) to the other.
I really think it would be a great add-on and is currently the only thing I'm really missing to make any kind of strategy/simulation/rpg game with renpy 8)

It's certainly possible to do drag and drop within the Ren'Py framework, as cardgame already does it. I'll consider adding this, but I'm not sure when.

Cool, well it's just a suggestion but I think would be useful to many people who develop more complex games with renpy :)
