Android Build Failed (renpy 8.0.3) (solved?)

#1 Post by lsf22 »

OS: Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon
Renpy: 8.0.3.22090809

When trying to build a project I have from an older renpy version, it fails to build to android. I even tried the following:
  1. Clean - to remove android temporary files
  2. Force Recompile (android)
  3. Delete Rapt folder and re-download it
  4. Clean temporary files
  5. Re-configure from configure in android menu section of Renpy
  6. Delete persistent
  7. Force Recompile (Main menu renpy)
Did not work at all. But a newly created test project with nothing new added to it was a successful build.

I will label it solved for now. It does not state in the documentation about there being a hard limit for 4 GBs for Android builds. My Android build worked once I downsized the game project under the hard limit of 4 GBs
