Fiendish Fiction is seeking a Background Artist for 10 - 15 backgrounds of varying scenery for Up All Night 2 (working title). The demo is expected to contain 3 - 4 backgrounds (with variations), with demo assets to be delivered by June 20, 2023. Full game assets expected to be completed by December 31, 2023
Up All Night is a commercial supernatural horror visual novel franchise. Up All Night 2 (working title) follows the events of the series thus far, with jaded protagonist Nick Torres on the hunt for a master vampire. Hot on the trail, Nick finds himself enrolled in college, soon befriending and seeking to help newly-turned vampire Dante Jones. Dante, whose vampirism has impacted his college football career, will do just about anything to return to a normal life.
Backgrounds are expected to range from college classrooms, to city parks, to trailer interiors, to creepy forests, etc. Changes to time of day, background props, etc. may be requested. A broad portfolio is recommended, with both interior and exterior examples. Ideal candidates are familiar with visual novels, and have an artistic style that meshes with the character art. Artists are not expected to match the style of previous backgrounds.
