Twitch Integration into Ren'py

Okay, hi. I have been on the prowl for an answer, for what seems like hours, for what may be a hopeless cause. I am currently developing a game that heavily relies on Twitch integration. The idea is that the streamer's chat gets to vote between options and the winning option (by percentage) is what is chosen without the streamer's input.
I have tried finding options, closest I got was this post from tumblr. However, it mostly talks about python itself and not ren'py specifically which left me utterly lost.
Any help is worth it, even if it's just to confirm whether or not this can or cannot be done within Ren'py.
