I'm a composer looking for some work scoring indie games. What sets me apart? A passion for, dedication to, and nearly encyclopedic knowledge of music in games. I grew up with this stuff. Game music is actually what led me to becoming a composer in the first place. Now I'm ready for a lifetime of paying back that inspiration.

Demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSvDswwwzTQ
My official site is currently undergoing construction, so I've uploaded a 10-minute music sample to youtube. In case you're looking for a style not represented in the demo, let me know and I'll come up with a sample for you.
My philosophy about game music: a game's music needs to sound like it belongs where it is. Music that just drones away in the background like a pre-programmed component is NOT the way game soundtracks should be. The best game music is apart of its respective game world, not a mere decoration in it. The writing, the art, the music, the sound, the direction--it's all meant to work together to create a focused narrative for the player.
[COMPENSATION?]
I would love to work on your project for free. I would only expect compensation if your project has commercial aspirations.
[CONTACT & OTHER INFO]
You can shoot me a PM here, post in this thread, or use the email in my profile.
If you're interested in my music, but aren't quite sure, let me compose a sample piece of music for you according to your specifications. It will be yours to use, even if it doesn't fit your needs.
I look forward to your replies, and am grateful for a forum like this. I have my own aspirations about eventually producing a ren'py visual novel, and hopefully during my composing ventures I can make some contacts. Especially for art! I already have a story outline, characters, and plan to do the scripting and music myself, but I won't even attempt to produce my own visuals.
