Stop screwing with my mind, Asia!

#1 Post by nefferinthia » Wed Sep 01, 2010 1:09 pm

Alright, I'm seriously getting a little annoyed with Asia in general right now. Stuff is getting too confusing. My thoughts on asians are now that they are genderless vampires. Allow me to explain a little here.

First, Asia (read: Japan) throws me visual kei, teaching me the important rule that no matter what people look/sound/act like they are, in fact, men. This wasn't such a hard thing to accustom to, even though I seriously doubted sometimes I am now able to believe anything can be a guy. (Let me show you some of our beautiful visual kei men here) Then suddenly I encounter this incredibly cute guy from a band apparently called f(x) (here) You agree with me, right? Well, wrong. This is actually a girl. Great way to make me doubt my sexuality, Asia. Thank you for that. Because she is nonetheless a cute girl also. Also, Asians have a certain ability that makes them grow to adulthood and no further. I mean, seriously, they. Don't. Age. I mean, as a teen, I'd find it slightly disturbing if this singer I adore is actually old enough to be my dad.

I still adore visual kei, Japan and everything named above but my head is about to explode. So yeah, what are your opinions on the matter?

@Rioka: I don't believe much in vampires to be honest. It took a while for me to be convinced XD
@Topagae: Yeah, it's so unfair... nature just favors asians, I believe D:

It doesn't only happen to asians... Bill from Tokyo Hotel looks like a girl and he isn't Asian  . There are people from various cultures that are androgynous.

Hmn... The girl from the picture you posted would indeed make a handsome guy :o .

Oy... you think it's actually easy and common to look like that?

First, you need to be born with the right genes to give you the correct facial structure for that kind of style.

Then, you need the right length of hair. Many factors at work here:
1. Pray that your hair is soft enough to look fluffy and breezy
2. Pray that your hair is strong enough to not melt when serious hair products and styling is applied
3. Pray that your hair grows at a uniform pace all throughout your head so that one side doesn't end up longer than the other

And then you need to deck out perhaps $150-a couple thousand to find a hair stylist skilled enough to create said hair cut.

And then many other factors
1. Pray that the day's humidity, wind, and precipitation conditions permit the use of certain hair styles
2. Always have a mirror with you and fix hair whenever you get hit with winds stronger than 30 kmph and hope that nobody sees you preening like a woman

And then you get to the body shape. It's almost impossible to be born with a body that allows the use of most popular styles.
1. You need to be incredibly tall
2. You need to stop eating whenever your figure gets thicker and also have the type of body metabolism that actually allows you to lose weight when you stop eating

Finally,

USE PHOTOSHOP AND THE POWER OF THE PHOTO OP. It's not possible for living people to have skin that pale or have hair styles that defy gravity to that point. One little breeze and the hair will be messed up. The male body generates so much sweat, oil, and smell that no amount of combination of make-up, shampoo, conditioner, soap, cleaning tissue will allow you to maintain your appearance for more than three hours in the outside environment.

I would say that less than a 1% of Asian men meet all the qualifications to have the requisites to look like that at all. 0.00001% of Asian men have the requisites to look like that without the help of Photoshop and stay like that for more than three hours without a small team of fashion and make up specialists following you and fixing you up every 15 minutes.

Is that Versailles? I adore them :).

Anyway, I know what you mean Harumi. As much as I like androgynous looking guys, I can't help but feel jealous. I mean, these men are prettier than me. I'm still in disbelief that is a girl. I mean, her neck is REALLY thick, it seems.

I just looked at the image linked and the first thing that came to mind is Justin Bieber! Maybe it's the hair...

@Abeiramar: Guess where that guy got the idea? No, seriously I think Bill did get inspired by visual kei.
Ah, I'm glad it's not just me XD

@Samu: I am aware that by far not all asians have such an exquisite look as a lot of visual bands and that there is at least some photoshopping used but even just normal asians walking down the street are androgynous to some extent.

@Sayuri: Yes, that's Versailles. I like them too and they're such a pretty example ^-^ Oh, btw, the girl is recognizable as such in other photos, I just picked this one to emphasize my point.

@Pyonkotchi: Oh no, Gackt has let the national secret leak XD
But yeah, exactly. If they get any more gorgeous then they would make our boyfriends gay. The standards have been set too high D:

@Rioka: No! Don't clog up my topic withh that hideous thing. *cough* Excuse me, I let myself go. They do have some resemblance...

@ Maimai: not just rice, Asians are healthy eaters, I'm asian myself and I don't mean to be rude but i have lived in US years ago and gosh, it seems like most of the Americans has deleted the word and thing called RICE in their vocabulary.

Sorry if i offended anyone...

It would seem like a joke but Justin Bieber has been in top 50 most popular FEMALE singer... I've seen it somewhere before but I can't pull it from the tip of my tongue where the link was....it was a year ago.-_-

One thing I add is, I'm envious to koreans... I mean, the male's skin of koreans are really pearl white and gah, they are like females... their skin is really beautiful and there are so many traps in them like here he is a guy. Lee Jun Ki in his role as Gonggil in The King and the Clown. If I didn't researched about that movie after seeing this image, I'd probably won't know that he is a guy seeing he is wearing a female dress...
