Launcher Redesign
I'd like to redesign the launcher, as part of an upcoming release. The goals would be to screen-ify the launcher, to make it more themeable, and to add support for updating from the web.
If we have any user interface designers in the crowd, could you throw together some mockups of what you want the launcher to look like? User interface isn't really my strong suit, so I think this is a place where a bit of mocking by someone that knows what they're doing could really help the final product.

Re: Launcher Redesign
Wait. What does "screen-ify" mean? Build it from your screen language?
Well, you know I like interfacin'. I guess I could come up with a few ideas. I kinda liked the previous launcher, since the actions were buttons and had a dash of color. So that's what I would do: make the actions look like buttons and make them not black/white.
Maybe we could make the launcher look like the website redesign? :3

UI design is not my strong suit either but I'll see what I can come up with.

That be cool, if I had some experience user interface design I would help. But if anyone could point anywhere where I can learn how to create some, I'll jump right on it. I have the artistic talent but my knowledge on user interface design is pretty thin.

Look up web design tutorials...everything I've learned from that applies in UI design as well.

Tell me what you think about that and if adjustments are needed. That is at the same resolution as the current launcher.
