First ending reached - You, presumably happy, though leaving MANY questions unanswered.. (not just the general scenario questions, but You-specific questions, things that should have happened after that point but weren't gone into...)

It's funny, because I didn't really MEAN to take You as my first path - she hadn't looked all that interesting in the demo - but playing from the perspective of as-things-happen rather than metagaming it, I ended up finding her more compelling than any girl of my past experiences with b-games... and would really like to know the rest of what's going on there, but should probably work on other easy routes before going for help to find secrets, lest I spoil too much.

The game has really managed to take me by surprise, make me laugh, and even educate me about things. :) And this from someone who expected it to be good anyway! The only thing lacking is the proofreading, which is still a terrible mess...

Many, if not all, of the questions you have will be answered in the final scenario. I don't recall any outstanding questions left at the end of the game, except for some references in the timeline at the end that wound up being to events that happened in other games in the series.

I believe the translation of Takeshi's arc has less mistakes then the Kid's, almost as if they were done by two different teams.

Anyway, do play through to the end, skipping or using walkthroughs if you must, as the final ending is what makes Ever17 worth playing.

*collapses*

... finally... finished... now... can... sleep.

(other than a vague desire to go back and try to reread stuff and understand it from a different perspective, and hunt the last two wallpapers, but they can wait)

Since hirameki was calling for fanworks, I ended up doing this quick little number

... So, does anyone know if Animamundi is any good? Have my standards now been set impossibly high? :)

Oh, the atmosphere is awesome for Ever 17. I preordered that game after finishing up Hourglass of Summer(Yeah, I was slow at getting into Hirameki games) and ended up staying up all day playing it.(Despite the fact that the voices very much did not work) My eyes sleepily noticed that the sun was rising up...for tommorow... and just how long I was playing hit me. Not many games do that to me. Tsukihime almost did that to me, but I moderated myself...but I think that's due to the fact I can only take so much disturbing input a day before I'm emotionally exhausted. Tsukihime is perhaphs more twisted than Divi-Dead...

I just finished this game recently.
This game has set my expectation bar for story telling soooo high up there...I probably won't find a story this well executed in a long time.
Romance isn't the main focus, but the story engrosses you and draws you in to complete each path to solve the mystery of the events that occur.
When the final path opens up and you complete it, eseentially all questions are answered and everything becomes clear.
If something seems odd to you or you're questioning something after the final path then you missed something or read over something too quickly.

Besides the excellent execution, the story was only possible in the visual novel format. That to me is a feat that should be well noted.

This is the kind of game that everyone should aim for. Replayability is optional...but less so than other games of the same type. If you want to fully understand everything then you HAVE to play again. You won't have a complete experience unless you do. It isn't like other games where you can ignore a girl because you don't like her and still have a complete experience.

Well, my point is, if you can buy this game, do it.
No, you don't have a choice, you WILL buy it. >=O

Ugh, let's not encourage that. Already plenty of pirates out there.

More importantly, because sales of Ever 17 weren't as high as Hirameki and Kid would have liked, the probability of other games from Kid being translated is low. The only way we'll keep getting these sorts of games is to buy them, and encourage others to do so as well.

Well, i think the ever 17 refferes to Cure virus, because the Cure stopped the aging process for Tsugumi in her 17 years. So she will be ever 17 (her normal age is 23).

If you haven't finished the complete final path which is only unlocked after you finish everything else, you cannot rest.

Although if you refuse to buy the game maybe you deserve not to know...
