Project NA (Part One)

#1 Post by GeminiStar00 »

(creeps in slowly and cautiously.) U-Um, hi. Newbie here. First time making a game so, like most things in my life, I defaulted to a fan-based doujin game in order to learn the ropes. Actually, I'm planning on making this an episodic series of five games, getting slightly more complex with each one so that when I'm done I have a enough of a handle on the system to make some really awesome stuff based on my original stories.

This introduction game is, well, more than a little cliche and the one ending is probably something of a let-down, but it did its job in teaching me to use the Ren'py system, so I'm proud of how it turned out. Ah...I'm also a writer first and an artist only when I'm in the grips of mild insanity, so please excuse the sometimes clumsy artwork...

Though this is technically a doujin game, it's in a very AU setting and I believe that people who aren't familiar with Hetalia should still be able to play - all you'll really miss out on is some series references and in-jokes. Any and all feedback would be very much appreciated! Now, without further babbling...

Game Style: Visual Novel/Kinetic Novel
Genre: Drama
Summary: On Matthew Williams' first day at the prestigious Hetalia World Academy, he literally runs into the school's golden boy, Alfred F. Jones, and is startled to realize that they share the same face. The end of this day will bring a surprise for them both...

Hi, :)
I just played your game and I found it really entertaining.

I rarely read any fanfiction about hetalia, but the plot on this VN caught my attention so I wanted to try it out.

I think that the art is really cute by the way,
and the story was really interesting.

I like the way that they were all in character, but at the same time, I find it completely playable even if you didn't know hetalia.
I sort of found the meeting with Alfred a bit too soon, but after everything was explained while playing the game, it made a lot of sense.

spoiler-
The explanation scene with Feli was very useful, especially for a short game.
I liked the car stopping scene. xD Somewhat reminded me of Twilight, but it fit Alfred's character well.
Good luck on your future projects. =)
