Cheap legal English games!

#1 Post by papillon » Tue Feb 28, 2006 2:58 pm

Note: This is NOT an affiliate link for me, I'm posting this as a public service. :)

HimeyaShop has posted some of the older English games for sale for only $9.99! Most of them are long past their prime, of course, but they do include Divi-Dead and Gloria, both of which are good games and definitely worth 10 bucks.

They've also got Desire, which I've heard some people like but I haven't played, and a few other old English and Japanese games. You're highly unlikely to see a legal copy cheaper than that ANYWHERE, so go for it!

Didn't like Divi-Dead really... half-boring and somehow I didn't really care about the main character (me). But at least it gave me some hints on how NOT to develop the gameplay in a Visual Novel. :)

The gameplay was really frustrating, but I adored the atmosphere. I used to send people the intro movie to show off how spooky it was. :)

Personally, it was a bit too supernatural for my taste (then again, what isn't  ). Most of my friends agree that DD was at its best in its beginnings. It got tiresome later and lost a bit of substance at the end, nevertheless, the atmosphere is still its party piece 8)
