What tabs do you always keep open?

A simple question for all of you, just out of curiosity:
What tabs do you keep open at all times, in how many browsers, and how many are VN or game development related?

I recently separated my private tabs from Nekomura related ones, leaving all my personal stuff in Firefox and migrating the rest to Chrome. This still leaves me with 15 "work" tabs, from 10 different domains.

Except for the obvious ones like email, mine are mostly "internet presence" related (our Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook...), but there's also Google Documents (where I keep Princess Battles card data in a spreadsheet for easy reference) and various Lemmasoft threads.

I'm really curious what other people currently working on games (or even just playing the kind of games Lemmasoft is about) always keep open!

Well, that would be my email, my google home site, lemmasoft, my game-wiki, a browsergame, leo.org, and everything else that happens to look interesting to me at that moment
It's not like I always have them all open at the same time though. I just open what I need.

Let's see, for me it would be: Youtube, Facebook, Mangafox, deviantART and Lemmasoft 8D ...And sometimes my blog.

Youtube - Listening to music. I don't use iTunes because it lags on my computer
Facebook - For obvious reasons
Mangafox - I like my mangas + manhwas 8D
deviantART - I usually just keep it there to refresh to see if something new happened
Lemmasoft - Same with dA

I guess out of those, only Lemmasoft would be VN related. <.<

When browsing this site I have View new posts in one tab and open various topics in another to read. I don't usually keep more than a few tabs open at a time, though, since I don't have a very powerful computer and I don't like feeling cluttered. The closest tab to being open all the time while I work is Youtube though, for music. :b

I never keep any tab opened because it sucks my PC RAM. I always downloading 24/7, so RAM is a precious commodity and can't waste any. My bro though, he keeps ALL tabs opened... So I can't have my tab let opened T_T

Websites I regularly visit when making VN:

- Dictionary.com
- Thesaurus.com. (I suck at English... lol)
- Google (Any references, or when I need some grammar articles to help my broken English)
- Wikipedia (I usually find inspiration here by reading lots and lots of cool articles)
- TVtropes (Same as above)
- Lemmasoft Forum (To keep myself up-to-date with EVN scene)
- Neosounds.com (To obtain royalty-free musics)
- Youtube (References related to opening/trailer)

Various other websites (may or may not related to VN. They are generally where I distribute my games)

- Deviantart (My biggest source of traffic)
- Twitter
- Facebook
- Tumblr
- Livejournal
- Hotmail
- Kongregate
- Newgrounds

I don't usually open all the tabs with these pages, because it will make my computer slow. lol. I just open them when I need them.

Hmm, that's interesting. Lots of people mention avoiding having multiple tabs open because of the slowness / memory leaks issues, but I never noticed any (well, not in the last 3-4 years). My computer is super slow when it comes to running things like Ren'Py (no idea why), but keeping one tab open or 20 seems to make very little difference. Maybe it's because I'm mostly visiting websites that don't run Flash / adds? Or maybe my laptop is just weird

Anyway, looking at some of your posts gave me new ideas of what would be handy to keep open at all times for easy reference - it seems I'll end up with even more permanently open tabs ^^;;;;

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL (for Windows) and keep track on how many memory your browser use as you open more tabs.

In my case, if it's just several (about 5 or 6), it only uses about 200MB or so. But after it grows to several tens of tabs, it could grow to 500 or 600MB.

For me it would be Facebook,Lemmasoft,Google,youtube,mangafox, various dev blogs and deviantart --> (Even if I don't have an account there I like looking at the fanarts of different animes and games.)

When I work on my VN, I tend to close mangafox, deviantart and youtube, replacing it with TVtropes.

o___o Whoa. I don't really keep any tabs open...hm, sometimes if I'm playing music, I'll have tab open for whichever site is playing music (usually YouTube). If I'm expecting an email, I'll leave my inbox open, too. That's really it. ^_^;; The email I'm expecting is almost always VN related, so maybe that counts?

http://brizzly.com/ (is a suite to use twitter in practice, I'm a twitter addict)
http://www.winterwolves.net/ (my own forums, though not much happens )
http://www.deviantart.com/ (to hunt for more artists)

I have a zillion windows open because I am a compulsive multitasker. Most of them are not things that stay constant, though - most forums I have bookmarked to come back to regularly rather than sitting there all the time.

You can generally count on me to have one window containing a long work of fiction that I'm currently (re)reading when I need a break, and one window holding my place in the homestuck romart thread.

I don't like tabs and tend not to use them because I find it harder to keep track of everything if I can't see them all spread out on the screen / read the names on the taskbar.
