I didn't see these posted, so here's some other free graphic tools:

Pixia
ArtRage

Microsoft still offers Acrylic (which used to be called Expression) as a free preview.

I also ordered through Peach Princess last night, since the akibaotaku coupon was displayed as $0.00 for me, and I decided against encouraging a retailer that doesn't have its act together. So, I come home today and check my mail to find that jlist has charged me $39.95 instead of $34.95. What a pain.

I suppose this means I can get rid of the workaround for logs? :). Glad to see new "shiny" features (image dissolve). Will have to try these out :3 Note that while the ImageDissolve feature itself is very, very shiny and flexible, to PyTom's great credit, the addition of nonlinear ramps i...

But it feels impossible for me to make every branch of a conversation feel equally rewarding, especially when a player may just read a line to the effect of "Well, if that's how you feel, I don't think I want to go on a date with you" and instantly roll back to pick a different choice. Bu...

A dissolve between preprocessed blurred art and the same non-blurred looks not-too-bad, or at least better than I would guess Pixellate does.

The Kana adaptation would be me, actually. I'm still working on it, although not with much of a sense of urgency. I may even be able to distribute the adaptation when it's done, if there's any interest in it, by creating an installer that would require a previous windows installation of the game to ...

I noticed that sometimes it would be nice to have the text window stay on screen while characters change. But it seems to disappear whenever there is an animation (with...). This is mostly esthetic but I find it annoying how the window blinks just because someone's face changed a bit. I've managed ...

No problem with installation or playing it for me, on a standard WinXP-SP2 system.

The only thing about it that seems odd to me on the technical level is that the voice files don't seem to have been all normalized to the same level. So, there's loud voices and quiet voices.
